After Avengers: Endgame, most people would’ve expected a break for the Avengers franchise. They ended an eleven-year journey with what became the highest-grossing film of all time. It seems that break might end sooner than expected as a rumor is hinting at the development of a Young Avengers Disney+ series. The current line-up and rumors do tease quite a few of the original Young Avengers members making their debut. This rumor comes at a perfect time with Marvel Studios eyeing Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, who will be the main lead alongside Jeremy Renner‘s Clint Barton is Hawkeye.
This also matches the rumors that quite a few shows are still unannounced that will be released through Disney+. The setup also makes quite a bit of sense, as we now have an older Cassie Lang to start her career as Stature, Kate Bishop is confirmed and there is the potential of Ty Simpkins‘ Harley Keener also taking on some form in the team. Personally, Keener is still an interesting candidate to become Iron Lad after his role in Iron Man 3. WandaVision‘s dimension altering travels could also introduce their children Wiccan and Speed into the fold.
The rumor also suggests that the Champions will also be combined into the Young Avengers, which is a good hint that Ms. Marvel will also be joining the team after her MCU debut on Disney+. America Chavez is also rumored to get her own show so another member is probably not that far off. It is quite exciting if this is Marvel Studio’s attempt at a major crossover on the new platform. There are also hints that a movie is being considered but we might not see it
