Super hard difficulty, too. Yakuza: Like a Dragon has got off to a good start in its native Japan with some pretty solid sales figures. And despite its dramatic departure in the gameplay department — swapping action combat for turn based battles — the title appears to have been well received. However, the release is…

Remember When Dead or Alive 6 Was Pretending to Be Mature?

What a boob. There was a period, prior to release, where Koei Tecmo proclaimed Dead or Alive 6 would be slightly less suggestive than its predecessors. Of course, the publisher knows exactly what makes the property popular, and quickly populated the sequel with all sorts of bikinis and bondage costumes. Now it’s back with a…

DOOM Eternal's TV Ad Is Being Torn Apart for Its Shocking Lack of Metal Music

Rightly so. What do you think of when you think of DOOM? Demons, big mad guns, blood-soaked hellscapes, brutal action… And thumping metal music, obviously. The unapologetically metal soundtrack to 2016’s DOOM elevated the shooter massively, and we expect DOOM Eternal’s track list to do the same. So whose idea was it to put generic…

Random: Days Gone's Trophies Are Scripted to Capture Important Story Moments

Morior Invictus. The PlayStation 4 captures a screenshot that corresponds with every single Trophy you earn, and the vast majority of the time, those images are completely throwaway. A random image of a menu, a weapon aimed down sights, a non-descript cutscene – you know the drill. However, it turns out PS4 exclusive Days Gone actually scripted those Trophies to capture an image that relates back to the description of…
