My current favourite book is ‘Magic. A Rough Guide’ by Nathan McGrath. It’s a gritty story based in a Britain where magic is a terrorist offence.

Lizzy, a young magician escapes from a prison laboratory where she’s been locked up with other magician girls since she was five years old. Determined to free all the other girls, things don’t go as expected when she comes across Chris, a joyrider who has only just realized he’s a magician himself.

Everybody’s Golf VR represents another stark change for the series, bringing the…

Review: Fate/Extella Link – Weary Warriors Fans, Don't Sleep on This Refined Anime Action

Tempting fate.Although it wasn’t perfect, we’ve always been quick to express our fondness for Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star. The 2017 release was a fine hack and slasher, complete with a fleshed out story and a whole roster of interesting characters. It was a rock solid game, and its sequel, Fate/Extella…

Review: The Messenger – Pixel Perfect Platforming Action

Ninja star.Say what you want about the ubiquity of pixel art, side-scrolling indie games, but the truth is that when done well, they’re brilliant. Game of Thrones Creators' Star Wars Trilogy Reportedly Set In Old Republic

David Benioff & D.B. Weiss’ Star Wars film series reportedly takes place during the Old Republic, and the first installment is said to begin in the fall. This year, the biggest event in the Star Wars franchise is the premiere of Episode IX, which concludes the ongoing sequel trilogy and the Skywalker saga as a whole. But as one era for the property ends, another begins. Lucasfilm is actively developing two separate film trilogies from Rian Johnson and Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff & D.B. Weiss. Both of these are completely disconnected from the Skywalker story and will look to expand the canon… Read more / Source: Screenrant.com: https://screenrant.com/star-wars-old-republic-movie-trilogy-benioff-weiss/

The players on the team mentioned that it was a player decision to ensure that everyone banded together after a poor showing the year before, and it now looks like another sports team is following their lead in light of a recent Fortnite baseball team ban.Fortnite has gotten a bit of a bad reputation when it comes to how it’s been received by everyone from sports coaches to teachers and even local government if India’s ban on it in certain cities is anything… Read more / Source: Screenrant.com: https://screenrant.com/fortnite-toronto-blue-jays/

MySpace Destroys 12 Years Worth of Content to Become Even More Obsolete

MySpace have been forced to apologize after accidentally deleting around 12 years worth of content. Long ago, before social media became embroiled in political debate and was accused of influencing democratic elections, were the (mostly) innocent days of MySpace. A predecessor to Facebook and Twitter, MySpace was a place for selfies, discovering new bands and trading pic comments with friends, at a time when nobody had heard of “bots” or given a second thought to Dumbledore’s sexuality. During its best years, MySpace was also a powerful tool in the 2000s music scene, helping artists such as Fall Out Boy, Arctic… Read more / Source: Screenrant.com: https://screenrant.com/myspace-music-content-lost/

Why do firefighting games lack that all-important spark?

I mean that’s one of the reasons why we play games – so we can save the world, ‘get’ the girl (or boy), and generally feel good about ourselves. Rarely does anyone want to play the bad guy for long. It feels good to perform good deeds and do right by the world. It’s empowering. Even in some of the grimmest first-person shooters, you still tend to be the hero, despite the fact that often happens to involve killing an awful lot of bad guys along the way.…
