Did Tom Holland Drop a massive Avengers 4 Spoiler no one picked up on?
(correction. It seems he didn’t.)
I’ll cut to the chase. At around the 2.48 minute tom builds up to the reveal by saying that he has to go because Thanos is robbing a bank. Quite rightly Jimmy Kimmel asks “Why would Thanos rob a bank, that doesn’t make sense?”
In reply Holland replies “Because Thanos is Thor.”
(actually I heard wrong, Holland says, “…Thanos is poor”
Spoiler? Here’s my reasoning.
If he had said Thanos is Thor, it would have made perfect sense, who else but Thor has the ability to handle the power of the Infinity Gauntlet?
Sure, every surviving Avenger has the fortitude to put on the gauntlet and restore the Universe, but only Thor comes close to the kind of Being Thanos is.
Others have suggested that only Thor has the power to survive the Infinity Gauntlet.
It’s a pretty obvious conclusion to come to for anyone with the barest knowledge of the MCU and Infinity Gauntlet story arc.
Ask anyone which of the Avengers has the power and knowledge to wear the Infinity Gauntlet and snap his fingers with the correct and precise intention and they’d most likely say Thor.
Hulk would run the risk of screwing the Universe up into something weird and horrifying and any of the other mere mortal Avengers wouldn’t survive the snap themselves.
The only caveat is Captain America. He had the power to grab the fist with the gauntlet and resist Thanos’s attempt to crush him down.
Come to think of it, it would be fitting and an ideological statement on the grandest scale to have Captain America save the Universe. It would be the most cosmically cheesiest event in Cinema History, exceeding ‘jump the shark’ and ‘nuke the fridge’ – So let’s hope it is Thor.
In celebration of a long-lived space telescope that’s mapped an invisible side of the universe, NASA just released a list of 21 modern and unofficial constellations.
Space might look like a dark void studded with just a few specks of light, yet this is something of an illusion.
What we see is only a rainbow of visible light: a limited slice of the electromagnetic spectrum, and of reality itself. Our human eyes can’t detect “colors” of light that are less energetic than deep red, such as radio, microwave, and infrared. Nor can we see light more energetic than violet, such ultraviolet rays, X-rays, and gamma rays, the most energetic form of light in the universe.

Sony is exploring the technical and business viability of building an open world to launch with the Playstation 5. It appears the delay of the Playstation 5 from a release date of November 2019, to November 2020 has been largely caused by the potential introduction of the Sonyverse.
Provisional, informal consultations have taken place between Sony and some of Sony’s major in-house game development studios. It’s not known which of the several studios have been consulted.
First Party Studios
Sony will oversee the Sonyverse (working title as they say in the movie world) which will be mainly a social environment much like Playstation Home used to be; but, beyond the local community environment the Sonyverse will be expanded to a cosmic scale as more games become available. The local environment will not only provide staging areas for a whole host of MOP games but also house social areas, cinemas and shopping areas where players can shop for both real world for home delivery and virtual merchandise.
There will also be staging posts where groups can gather prior to entering team games, be they PVP or co-op PVE scenarios. TPS Plus Gold will be a new subscription service players can use to join friends in games they themselves do not own but are owned by another PS Plus Gold member. This will be priced at midpoint range between PS Plus and Playstation Now. Some games, take Destiny for example, have social areas where gamers that are not friends or on some group or clan list can meet up and, if they choose, play together. The problem with this set up is that both players have to own the game. With the Sonyverse and PSPlus Gold membership, you don’t have to own the game and can see what games other players are going for.
For people who own games, portals will be available for instant access to a saved game or gamers can choose to travel to a game world through space. Space travel will include both PVP, PVE or neutral Safe Zones, All Vehicles will have ‘hyperjump’ options if a gamer changes his or her mind and just wants to jump straight into a game.
Purchase of a game will automatically populate the player’s universe with a basic portal.
The Sonyverse is in reality a front end for an enhanced and consolidated version of a player’s menu merged with the Playstation Now universe.
All PS5 owners will be provided with a basic ‘Home’ where all their games can be accessed.
