Anarchy is Order
There are hundreds of surveillance satellites orbiting the Earth gathering almost every type of natural and man-made activity and phenomena that can be observed and measured.
We have the agricultural technology to feed the world.
We have manufacturing technology to ensure every person on the planet has sufficient shelter and protection against the elements.
We have the medical knowledge and technology to care for the ill and vulnerable and help alleviate suffering.
We have a global communication infrastructure to alert us to every crisis wherever it might occur.
We have supercomputers and quantum computers capable of storing and analysing vast amounts of data.
It is feasibly possible to put this technology to work taking care of the world’s population, and managing the world’s resources while doing so without causing damage to the environment and climate. It can actually be done if we applied ourselves to the task.
But there is a problem. We live in a corporate dictatorship where global companies (whose sole objective is power and control) shape and direct government laws and priorities.
Those countries ruled by Governments that for whatever reason refuse to be manipulated, end up suffering invasion, wars, endless revolutions and instability. Why? because while people in those countries fight for democracy and freedom, corporation run governments constantly undermine all and any attempts to establish a system that actually puts people before profit.
Anarchy has over the years taken on many forms and many actions, both creative and violent under it’s name; Art, literature, political actions, crimes included.
But this article is about one simple fact. we now have the means to take care of humanity, the environment and the climate.
It’s not impossible, it’s just that the corporations and the governments run by them do not have the will or desire to surrender their power.
And we are too busy blaming each other over religion, skin colour, nationality to see that the corporate-government alliance is causing the very conditions that force people to leave their homelands in search of security, work and better conditions.
Only revolution will change things.
Violent revolution is pointless, there is too much of a (fire)power imbalance. Small scale violence and violent protest only alienates us from the majority and gives the dominant media the means to attack us and denigrate our cause. The only solution is non-violent action, using the means at our disposal to take the first steps.
Undermine the methods used by corporations to manipulate governments.
Educate each other and our children in what true democracy means.
Work together with our neighbours to build strong, cohesive communities.
join those communities together.
Build a new democracy from the ground up.
Use the technology at our disposal to conduct our lives in a more balanced way; use the natural resources around us more efficiently.
Educate our children in the sciences and how they can be applied in a humane and more environmentally safe way to benefit humanity.
It will take a long, long time, generations. But we have to start someday – and learn from our mistakes and keep going.
The alternative is to live an undignified life of denial and self-delusion, with no integrity and a legacy of submissive failure.
